.45 caliber, 7.5" round barrel, S/N 30256. Early black powder. Serial number 30257 is engraved in the same style. Rare factory engraved single action revolver by J. Ulrich. Engraved in a line style with no shading. Single-line barrel address; two-line patent markings. Nickel-plated finish. Original pearl grips. Comes with an old holster it was carried in. This revolver was consigned to Cowan's by a family member who states his great grandfather carried it on his ranch in Canyon, Colorado. The family owned the ranch from 1875- 1920's. There is no factory record available for this revolver. One like it and one number off is pictured in several Colt books. Ulrich-engraved SA's are very rare. Condition: Revolver retains much of the old re-plated finish. All markings are very sharp and crisp. Original pearl grips show good age matching the rest of the revolver. Serial number "30257" is engraved in the same style. Holster is a very nice hand-tooled one that is lined. No markings on the holster.
