RARE FACTORY ENGRAVED COLT .45 COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER, SERIAL No. 150652 Barrel with two-line address. Blued and colour case hardened finish. Recoil shield and loading gate engraved with fan patterns, the remaining frame with bold scroll work on a granular ground. Full coverage scroll engraved barrel with decorative motifs around address and fore-sight. Engraved back-strap and trigger guard. Replacement ivory grips showing fine aged patina. Retains generous traces of case colours and blue within protected areas. With an associated brown leather holster with rope pattern decoration. With Factory letter noting: Shipped April 22, 1893, c/o E. Bastian & Son, Hibbard, Spencer, Barlett & Co. Chicago, Illinois. Cuno A. Helfricht and his shop at Colt's, circa 1871-1921 4in. barrel
