Provenance : John Straker, Stagshaw House (armorial bookplate). AN EXCELLENT COPY IN A FINE BINDING. The work is a re-issue of Lindley's The Pomological Magazine , published by James Ridgeway between 1828 and 1830. All except five of the plates are from originals by Mrs.Withers, who at the time of the present publication was "Flower and Fruit Painter in Ordinary to Queen Victoria".
