One of 950 copies. First Edition. Larpenteur joined William Sublette and Robert Campbell on an expedition from St. Louis to the Rockies in 1833, then joined the rival American Fur Company the following winter. His journals and memoirs give great insight into the fur trading of those heady years. Graff 2404; Howes C800. Lot Amendments Condition: Touches of wear to cloth; tape stains on endpapers; very good.
