Forging pattern ( jihada ): small wood grain ( ko-itame ). Tempering pattern ( hamon ): irregular clove-like patterns with shallow swells ( choji midare/gonome ) with some notare near the machi , together with some 'swept sands' ( sunagashi ) in the low areas, all executed in nioi and ko-nie . Point ( boshi ): midare-komi . Tang ( nakago ). Shape ( keitai ): very slightly shortened ( suriage ); file marks ( yasurime ): probably new ( kiri-yasuri ); end ( nakagojiri ): squared ( kirijiri ); holes ( mekugi-ana ): two; signature ( tachimei ): Bishu Osafune Yasumitsu .
