.45-75 W.C.F. caliber, 22" round barrel, S/N 10218. Winchester name, address and patent dates are marked on the top of the barrel. The caliber is marked forward of the breech on the barrel, and on the underside of the brass elevator block. Model 1876 is marked on the upper tang. Walnut stock and forearm with tapered forend cap, one barrel band and crescent buttplate. Frame with saddle ring on the left side. This carbine letters as a Rifle. However it was obviously changed at the factory from a rifle to a carbine but no mention in the factory letter. Condition: The barrel has almost all of its original blue finish remaining, and is in very good condition. The frame has most of its original blue finish, with areas of fading on the sides, underside and dust cover. The hammer and lever have strong case coloring remaining, especially on the lever. The stock and forearm have a few small nicks or dings, but are in good to very good condition. The bore is excellent.
