Two Daguerreotypes: Boston School, 19th Century, Sixth-plate Daguerreotype of a Boy Leaning on a Table, in a black leather push-button case, and American School, 19th Century, Sixth-plate Daguerreotype of Three Young Boys, in an embossed leather case. Condition: The first with minor tarnishing, brown accretions, minor wear to case especially along spine, several spots of corrosion on brass mat; the second lightly scratched, case worn with loss at u.r. corner of cover, repaired spine, case opening at u.l. corner, silk pad faded and worn, velvet liner faded and lightly abraded; not examined out of cases. Provenance: A private New England collection.
