The first with turn-off cannon barrel, border engraved action signed on a foliate scroll on one side and with foliage on the other, trigger-guard safety-catch engraved with a flower-head on the bow, figured swelling butt inlaid with silver wire scrollwork and rocailles (minor losses), vacant silver escutcheon, and silver grotesque mask butt-cap (some wear and rust patination), private Birmingham proof marks; the second of similar form, with signed border engraved action, and flat-sided butt inlaid with silver wire scrollwork (losses, top jaw, screw and steel replaced, surface rust patination), private Birmingham proof marks (2) 9.5 cm. and 6.5 cm. barrels
