Inscribed and signed by Jack London on front free endpaper: "Dear Mrs. Cunha: In happy remembrance of happy times & earnest hope for many more. Remember me to your good man & to both of you Aloha nui, Jack London, Aug. 21, 1916." London's collected essays on socialism and the class struggle. Laid in is Macmillan's 4-page promotional pamphlet advertising New Fiction, including London's "The Game" his next book following "War of the Classes." Scarce, only 2530 copies printed. BAL 11885; Sisson & Martens, p. 2. Lot Amendments Condition: Moderate rubbing to covers, though gilt entirely unworn; top edge spotted; front inner hinge cracked, good to very good.
