Lowndes Date: 1766 Description: viii, 293 + [11] ad pp. Illustrated with wood engravings within the text, plus a wood-engraved frontispiece. 6½x4, bound in modern half tan calf and marbled boards, gilt-lettered morocco spine label, new endpapers. Third Edition. An angling classic that went through many editions throughout the eighteenth century. Hecksher 294. Lot Amendments Condition: Spine a bit sunned; slight darkening and occasional light foxing to contents; very good or better in a handsome leather binding. Item number: 163355
