[Cologne: Heinrich Quentell, ca. 1490], 4° (199 x 138mm), 22 leaves, type: 7:80G, 3:180G, initials and underlining in red, occasional contemporary marginal annotations (small, light dampstain in a few leaves), modern limp vellum wrapper with ties, bound for Morris with Kelmscott paper marked with a flower as endleaves. [H *1369; Polain(B) 3706; Voullième(K) 1166; Goff T-295] From the library of WILLIAM MORRIS Inspired in his own type and book design by the products of 15th-century presses, William Morris built a fine library of incunabula and manuscripts. It was sold en bloc after his death to Richard Bennett in 1897, and many of the books were again sold the following year at auction. All separate incunable editions of the De corpore Christi were printed at Cologne; this is probably the fifth, and the first by Quentell. Not in the British Library; only one copy in America.
