ONE OF THE EARLIEST BOOKS PRINTED IN ULM, from Zainer's first year of operation. Only two institutional copies in the United States (Columbia, Huntington). Printed on unwatermarked paper. Johann Zainer's first type is the same face, except for a few sorts, as the first type of his brother Günther in Augsburg. Zainer printed four editions of this pair of tracts from 1473 to circa 1475; they may have been commissioned by the Dominicans of Ulm. Either the present edition or the first reprint (Goff T-317) was included in Zainer's broadside advertisement of early 1474 (Einbl. 1561, Amelung 19, Abb. 21).
