(8vo) bound in original tree calf with gilt tooled spines, gilt spine numbers and red spine labels lettered in gilt. From the London Edition of 1629. Signature on both title pages likely that of James Iredell, Jr. 23rd Governor of North Carolina, senator, and leader of a unit in the War of 1812. With fold out plate featuring 9 panels showing various scenes from Captain Smith's story. Maps not present.. Lot Amendments Condition: Some wear and fair amount of rubbing to bindings, rubbing to spine labels; hinges starting, front flyleaf clipped in Vol. 2, foxing, darkening to textblock, areas of dampstaining; about very good.
