FIRST EDITION OF A SCARCE TREATISE CONCERNING TRADE IN THE NEW WORLD. The tract examines the fishing industry in Newfoundland, Greenland, the Bermudas, and Virginia, in addition to areas throughout the world in which England had a stake. Of Virginia the author writes, "wee know not well what to do with it ... it is yet but Embrion, no question a worthy enterprise and of great consequence" (p 21).
