Notable images include a daguerreotype portrait of a handsome gentleman with hair parted to one side and one hand touching his lapel, wearing a prominently highlighted gold watch chain; a daguerreotype portrait of a middle-aged woman wearing a patterned dress, a gold-highlighted chatelaine, earrings, brooch, and ring, with ink identification label affixed to velvet pad reading, "Grandmother Vansteenburgh;" and two daguerreotype portraits housed in one case, featuring a likely mother and daughter, each with gold-highlighted rings and brooches, housed with pencil inscribed identification paper reading, "Sarah Emeline Agler/Egler / July 18th 1859." Four images housed in three union cases (two portraits are housed together in one case), including one patriotic case [1-53] and two geometric cases [3-142], [3-152].
