Sinclair C5
Launched in January 1985, the C5 was Clive Sinclair's project which he financed by selling some of his shares in Sinclair Research for around _12 million. Although a huge amount of publicity surrounded the C5, the demand for vehicles was lower than anticipated and prices were dropped in the summer and then again in September of the launch year. When Sinclair Vehicles finally closed, the remaining 4,500 complete C5's were sold to a company in Liverpool who began to sell them at _699 plus VAT, more than the original release price! Offered in good original condition, but requiring attention to the battery & charger unit; this example features many interchangeable factory options, including indicators, mirrors & a wet weather driver's cover. An instruction booklet & various letters/sales literature from the manufacturers is included.
