Large 8° (273 x 190mm.). 8pp. publishers advertisments at back. Engraved frontispiece map by H.Frost, 36 hand-coloured aquatint views after the Lorys (neatly repaired tears in D1 and D3). Modern blue half morocco gilt, t.e.g., for C.J.Sawyer Ltd. First English edition in book-form. The views include Milan, Geneva, Simplon, Lake Maggiore, and were also issued as part of Ackermann's Repository from 1819 to 1820. Longchamp 1850; Tooley 446.
