Roman type, woodcut illustrations to a1 recto and b6 verso, woodcut initials. (Some very faint spotting throughout, mostly marginal.) 20th-century brown morocco by Sangorski & Sutcliffe for Bernard Quaritch Ltd., (lower board lightly rubbed). The woodcuts in this work are those used in Savonarola's Epistola alla Contessa della Mirandola while the second also features in his Operetta sopra i dieci commandamenti di Dio (H 1443, dated 24 October 1495). Although Goff dated this edition to c. 1495, Savonarola, according to Giovannozzi, only wrote the oration in 1496; CIBN dates it to c. 1496-7.
