Lot of 2 salt prints, each 5.5 x 7.5 in. oval, mounted larger, showing Lieutenant Joseph Julius Buchey, Cos. I & K, 20th Pennsylvania Infantry, and his mother Madame Marie Athenaide Lefevre Buchey (1801-1874). The two are the son and widow of Jean Baptiste Buchey (1783-1849), who kept a noted French Seminary in her home at 240 Spruce Street, Philadelphia. Marie's nicely tinted, with the gilt imprint of Broadbent & Co., Philadelphia. Condition: Joseph's with slight warping, staining along the left edge, and a few scattered dark specks. Marie's very good.
