volumes 1-10, plus accompanying folder of maps and plans, London: HMSO, 1906-1911, some volumes with original blue wrappers bound-in, volumes 1-8 in uniform maroon straight grain sheep with gilt ownership of the Rochdale Canal Co., slight wear to extremities, volumes 9 & 10 in later blue buckram, maps and plans contained in matching folder, folio, plus eleven small booklets relating to the Rochdale Canal Company, including Instructions for Constables, Manchester, 1878; Bye-Laws for Regulating the Conveyance, Loading, and Unloading of the Rochdale Canal, of Explosives..., Manchester, 1877; Statutory Regulations and Bye-Laws; Directors' Meeting booklets, 1920-23 & 1925-28 etc. The collection comprises the entire reports of the Commission, with minutes of evidence and statistics, on the waterways of Great Britain, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. There were two further volumes issued in 1911, which made recommendations for Ireland. (22)
