ROOSEVELT, Theodore and Edith Kermit ROOSEVELT (1861-1848). Photograph signed by both ("Theodore Roosevelt" and "Edith Kermit Roosevelt"), n.p., n.d. Mounted photograph (11 x 8 in.) including mount, handwritten notice "Copyright by E.W. Prescot" along bottom of print. Boldly signed in ink by the President and First Lady on blank lower portion of mount. An unusual joint portrait in an elaborate interior. The First Lady (1861-1948), wearing a lace-decorated formal gown, sits in a carved chair; the President, standing to her right, rests one arm on the chair back. This uncommon image is likely to have been taken during Roosevelt's presidency, almost certainly between 1900 and 1912.
