Francisci Muguet, 1695 Note: Edited by Lewis Innes (1651-1738), Principal of the Scots College in Paris, who took a prominent part in the proceedings held at the Abbey of St. Germain-des-Prés on 26 May 1694 connected with the verification of this famous charter which established the legitimacy of King Robert III and hence the Stuart dynasty. The charter was shown to King James II in exile at the Court of St. Germains. Provenance: With the bookplate of Archibald Constable, the publisher and his signature dated 1803, and with the bookplates of George Chalmers the antiquarian, and Alexander, 25th Earl of Crawford
