Jh. über Holzdeckeln, mit Datierung 1590, 1 Schließe (von 2), handschriftlicher Rückentitel; etwas berieben, Vorderdeckel wurmstichig, Kapital abgestoßen, vorderes Innengelenk eingerissen. "The oldest theological encyclopedia... represents the practical inheritance of scholasticism. It brings together the main themes of theology, drawing most heavily on Alexander von Hales, Bonaventura and, of course, Thomas Aquinas. The thoroughness of the 'Pantheologia' is demonstrated in the number of little known authors and texts it cites" (BPH Catalogue 164). Der vorliegende Band 2 enthält die Buchstaben L-Z. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die schöne Eingangsinitiale mit reichem Blattgold u. fein ausgeführtem Rankenwerk. - Gering fleckig, vereinzelt fingerfleckig u. etwas braunrandig, vereinzelt Wurmspuren, Vorsätze stärker betroffen. Letztes Bl. mit Randeinriss u. Wurmspur im Text. 1. Bl. mit Besitzvermerk. Es fehlen die num. Bll. 180-181 (Z3-4). Second volume only (L-Z) of the oldest theological encyclopedia. With 10 large initials in colours, the first in gold and colours, and numerous smaller initials supplied in red. - Slightly spotted, occasionally fingerstained and somewhat brownstaining, some worming in places, heavie to endpapers. Last leaf with marginal tear and worm trace in the text. Lacking the numb. leaves 180-181 (Z3-4). Late 16th cent. blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards, one clasp (of two), slight rubbing, wormstitches to upper cover, front inner hinge cracked.
