[Felix] Moissenet & Law: New Orleans, LA. Housed in original pressed paper case with floral motif and "Moissenet & Law" hallmark on velvet pad. (Image in fine condition, some minor spotting to mat, minor scuffs to case extremities). Sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of a young woman wearing a black dress and a gilt necklace, her hands folded genteelly in her lap. F[elix] Moissenet: No. 1 Camp Street, New Orleans. She stands upon a velvet upholstered chair, tentatively identified as the armchair of renowned Daguerrian John Adam Whipple (1822-1891).
