Lot of 11 quarter and sixth plate Union cases with fruit, floral/scroll, or geometric designs. Quarter plate examples include: geometric/scroll [Krainik 76], containing ambrotype of young girls wearing patterned dresses, each standing on a chair (some minor scratching along perimeter of plate), chipping and surface soiling to case; geometric/scroll [Krainik 55], containing two striking ambrotypes of a mustached man and lovely young woman wearing a fancy bonnet tied with large white bow (light scratching along top edge of plate), few minor chips along edges of case. Sixth plate examples include: Lilly with Grapes [Krainik 192], containing ambrotype of aged gentleman. Crack along lower edge of back of case; Grape and Vine motif [Krainik 185], containing of three young men wearing bowties, few chips to along edges; geometric [Krainik 280], containing tintype in very good condition of young couple; Three Roses [Krainik 198], containing ambrotype of two young girls wearing matching dresses (chipping to emulsion), light chipping along edges and corners; geometric [Krainik 288], containing ruby ambrotype of woman. Some corner and edge wear to case; scroll [Krainik 296], containing daguerreotype of young woman holding a book, some vertical wipes in plate. Case with wear to hinges and few light chips along edges; floral/scroll design [Krainik 466], containing two ruby/brown tinted ambrotypes of a mother and two young girls wearing dresses with same pattern, possibly twins. Images crisp, with strong contrast. Case with few minor chips along edges; geometric/scroll [Krainik 254], containing clear tintype portrait of a sweet toddler-aged girl standing on a chair in a studio setting, very minor chips to edges; geometric/scroll [Krainik 275], containing tintype of young girl standing in a studio (light surface cracking), case with chip near clasp, some surface soiling.
