Public schools.- Ackermann (Rudolph, publisher)The History of the Colleges of Winchester, Eton and Westminster; with the Charter-House, the Schools of St. Paul's, Merchant Taylors, Harrow, and Rugby, and the Free-School of Christ's Hospital, first edition, list of subscribers, 48 fine hand-coloured aquatint plates, with plate 23 'Westminster School Room' in first state, and plate 26 'Charter House from the Play Ground' in second state, with washerwomen and overslip, occasional light spotting or offsetting, contemporary calf, blind stamp and gilt decorative border, inner gilt dentelles, g.e., handsomely rebacked with some neat corner repairs, some light marking to upper cover but overall a very attractive and bright example, [Abbey Scenery 440; Tooley 3], 4to, 1813.
