In 1930, Bobby Jones and company purchased the Fruitland Nursery in Augusta, Georgia with the aim to transform the fertile land into a golf club, devoted to the sport. Unlike other country clubs, Augusta was to be a place for the sport of golfing only. Bobby Jones and Alistair McKenzie worked together to develop the course architecture. President Eisenhower was a frequent golfer at Augusta, and the Eisenhower Cottage was built for his exclusive use. Lot Amendments Condition: Fine. Item number: 238501
