Contemporary half pigskin over wooden boards, remains of clasps, paper title labels (spine worn). Provenance : Georg Holzmüller, with his contemporary purchase inscription; Johann Faberi(?) 1549; Windberg, inscription, De Monasterii Bibliotheca Windbergensis ; Munich, Royal Library, with "Duplum" on front pastedown. Peter Lombard's On the Sentences comprises the whole of Christian doctrine. It became the basis for theological study in virtually every centre of learning throughout Europe, extending well into the Renaissance. The Klotz copy is unusually complete, having a full stub of blank t6 and full-page blanks U8 and S3, the latter correcting BMC's collation of that quire to S 10 .
