or, a Treatise containing the Description and Use of three several Quadrants...Accommodated for Dyalling, for the resolving of all Proportions Instrumentally..., 2 parts in 1, first edition, lacking signature Oo (pp. 277-284) at end of first part comprising 'The Description of an Universal small Pocket Quadrant' (not the two contents leaves signed * as sometimes claimed, which are present at end of preliminaries), without the 1659 title-page found in some copies following 'To the Reader' leaf, with 2 engraved plates by Henry Sutton only (one double-page and one folding, of 3 or 4), woodcut diagrams, tear to F4 slightly affecting text, U1 of first part and F3 of second part defective at lower outer corners not affecting text, broken and becoming loose, later ink stamp of Christopher St.J.H.Daniel on inside front board, contemporary calf, a little worn, upper joint split and cover almost detached, [Clockmakers' 202; Wing C5381], small 4to, J.Macock, 1658; sold not subject to return *** Rare
