Odometer Reading: 49,984 MoT Expiry: 17/3/2021 *Left-hand drive *Extensive high-quality restoration *Little use and not driven in wet weather MGAs proved immensely popular not only in their homeland but especially in the USA, where the all-new body design consigned separate-wing TDs and TFs to the past. The all-new 'A' remained popular as it aged and the model's loyalty has ensured many have been restored, including this fine, American-market 1600 fixed-head Coupé. Sold new to the sunny Californian climate it has, in recent years, been treated to a high-quality, high-cost restoration. Coming from a private collection it has latterly seen little use and it has while in this ownership never been driven in the wet, with the result it still presents in very good condition. The panelwork is impeccably straight with first-class shutlines and the brightwork has plenty of shine. The steel wheels are painted a pleasing shade of grey with correct-specification hub caps. The engine bay is equally good, the bulkhead, inner wings and slam panel all extremely presentable. Occupants will be cossetted in a well-prepared and super-smart interior, with the seats and door panels re-trimmed in black (seats having red piping) and the dashboard has also been re-freshed. In left-hand drive configuration this 1600 A would be ideal for mainland European touring and it should serve its new owner for many years to come.
