Second edition, featuring the chart of the western and southern oceans and text relating to Greenland and whaling that do not appear in the first. It also includes one of the earliest English accounts of Abel Janszoon Tasman's 1642 voyage during which he visited Tonga and Fiji and discovered Tasmania and New Zealand.
