MORTIMER MENPES (1860-1938) AN INTERESTING SELECTION OF THE ARTIST'S PRINTS comprising 18 etchings (Juliet, A Tranquil Waterway in Japan, A Quiet Place in Cashmere, Concarneau, A Chinese Student, A Village Woman in China, Sicily, St. Bartholomews Smithfield, St. Pauls and other subjects such as Indian Ox Cart, Chinese and Indian Portraits, Harbour and Town Scenes, Chinese Village etc, each but the last signed in pencil, two framed); with `The Grey River` containing 12 signed etchings of London, with text, published by Messrs Seeley and Co Ltd, 1889, the covers badly damaged but text and prints in good condition; `Paris` by Mortimer and Dorothy Menpes, published by A. & C. Black, 1909, edition of 500 (this is number 225), containing 74 colour plates plus printed vignettes throughout text; and `Rembrandt` by Mortimer Menpes and C. Lewis Hind, published by A. & C. Black, 1905, containing 16 colour prints of Rembrandt's works (a lot)
