This ill fated voyage of the hot air balloon "Governor Russell" on July 4th, 1892 claimed the lives of two, Prof. G. Rogers and his assistant, Thomas Fenton. There was only one survivor, a newspaper journalist, E. Goldsmith. The balloon sustained a large tear after its launch from Boston and sank in the Atlantic.
