This publication records the proceedings of a New Haven conference to settle a boundary dispute between New York and Massachusetts in which Massachusetts claimed "the whole territory, within their North and South limits, from the Atlantic Ocean to the South Sea." The commissioners representing Massachusetts were Thomas Hutchinson, William Brattle and Edward Sheaffe, for New York, Robert R. Livingston, William Smith and William Nicol. The dispute, unfortunately, was without settlement. Evans records a later issue with a 9-page appendix. Evans 10965; Howes M376 ("b"); Sabin 45689.
