Housed in a leather, "Mascher's Improved Stereoscope" sixth plate case. Provenance: Charles A. and Frances Swedlund Collection of Early Photography Condition: Note on back of plate indicates the stereodaguerreotype was cleaned in 1971. Hinge intact. Some surface wear to case, few minor areas of loss to leather. Few spots on each plate. Image at left a bit cloudier compared to image on right.
