A travel journal starting in Rio De Janiero and ending in Jerusalem. The "Journal" is written in the central column on the leaf, surrounded by interpretations (passages of poetry, philosophy, citations from dictionaries or Jewish sources and illustrations) resembling a Talmudic page. The book is accompanied by eleven original copper etchings by Liliane Klapisch, made using a combined technique of aquatint, soft-ground and drypoint. The etchings are signed 18/78 and signed by Klapisch. [8], 57, [5] pp, 38 cm. Good condition. Printed on thick paper and contained in a cardboard slipcase.
