FIRST EDITION, the variant without the rubber-stamped notice on copyright page, publisher's leaflet advertising various books including The Game laid in. Illustrations and decorations by Henry Hutt and T.C. Lawrence. BAL 11886. A very good copy. One of London's favorites among his novels -- a tale of prizefighting in the early days just prior to the reign of Jack Johnson as heavyweight champion.
