Lincoln and Stanton appoint George O. Sokalsi a 2d. Lt. of the Second Cavalry Regiment. [ With :] DS, Sokalsi's WEST POINT DIPLOMA, 6 May 1861, signed (in secretarial hand) by Superintendent Alexander H. Bowman and T. G. Pitcher, Superintendent between 1866 and 1871.
