Large varied collection of photographs from the time of the settlement of Israel (Yishuv), [beginning of the 20th century until 1948]. This collection is composed of: ~ Approximately 500 single photographs: group photographs, photographs of trips in Eretz Israel, photographs of institutions and family photographs; some were photographed by famous photographers (Avraham Soskin, Tzadok Bassan); documenting the development of the city of Tel Aviv, the establishment of kibbutzim and moshavim, paving roads, Hebrew workers, etc. Many photographs are from the time of the British Mandate. ~ Five photograph albums, including photographs from Eretz Israel during the 30s and 40s (Kibbutz Gevulot from the year of its establishment, Kibbutz Givat HaShelosha, photographs taken by a Scottish soldier in Eretz Israel). ~ Approximately 50 prints of photographs (Narinsky, Leo Kahn) and small binders with photographs of Eretz Israel, sold as souvenirs to tourists at the beginning of the 20th century.
