(Some pencil scribbles and light soil marks.) Contemporary limp roan (rather worn). Rare example of an early 19th-century 'flick book.' The frontispiece shows a conjuror in action. The plates themselves are in several series with playing-cards, figures in costume, and exotic birds all intermixed, providing the book is read in the normal way. However, if the leaves are flicked through more quickly, with the thumb on the fore-edge, the conjuror can show any one series of images while concealing the rest.
