In addition to Nicholson's service during the Mutiny and his death at the storming of Delhi, there is much detailed coverage of his career in India, Afghanistan and the Punjab.; History of India from the earliest times to the Present Day by L.J Trotter, Engraved frontispiece; 22 engraved illustrations by W.J.
