including a typed letter signed by Paul Daniels to James Crossini, postmarked 1979; camera scripts for “The Paul Daniels Easter Show”, 1985 and his appearance as the subject of “This is Your Life”, 1988, the latter with a few annotations; a folder with eight suggestions by Ken Miller for a Christmas Special; suggestions by Michael Florence for a purse swindle with photographs, diagrams and accompanying autograph letter signed by John Fisher, 1981, an idea for a Houdini-style cell escape from David De-Val in a letter to Paul Daniels, [1982]; other suggestions by Roy Johnson, Michael Florence, David Beitland, Terri Rogers and Michael Barrett (both in autograph letters signed to Paul Daniels), Patrick Page, Ian Adair, Terri Rogers, Val Andrews, and others; an early photograph of contestants in the first “Stage Awards” competition including Paul Daniels, with accompanying typed letter suggesting that this was the start of his career “None of them known except in the clubs where I picked ‘em up”; fourteen signed portrait postcards, the majority producing a white rabbit from a hat; a number of colour transparencies, three large coloured photographs; and a collection of over 180 autograph and typed letters written to Paul Daniels by viewers of his television show, the majority stating that they too had chosen the word “aspirant” in a “Piddington” experiment with Lord Soper and Magnus Magnusson in 1988, in box file. *** Viewers of the "Piddington" experiment had been asked to phone in if they had chosen the right word, but no phone number was given on the programme, and many who phoned the BBC were unable to get through, so wrote to Paul Daniels instead..
