2 vol. in 1, first edition , titles with wood-engraved vignette, 48 hand-coloured lithographed plates by Hoffy, tissue guards, each plate with accompanying letterpress descriptive text, plates lightly browned with light offsetting, marginal soiling and occasional foxing, ink stain to outer margin of ‘Black Cherry’ plate and a few with marginal bleaching, text foxed, contemporary (?original) burgundy morocco, boards blocked in gilt with central rose inside framed wreath of entwined flowers and cupids, gilt spine in compartments, rubbed, upper cover and spine faded, 4to, Philadelphia, A.Hoffy, 1841.
