He has dated Landscape (Landscape with a Pond) to roughly 1866-69, based upon the composition as well as the technique employed. Wax lined, flattened craquelure. Selectively cleaned varnish; area around the signature is untouched. Area of inpaint approximately 1 x 2 inches in sky above trees at left with a possible corresponding vertical tear at the upper edge. Sky in upper right quadrant may be scrubbed; associated inpaint/glazes in that area.
