Beschreibung:

The 1957 Cadillacs incorporated new X-braced tubular chassis frames that increased structural rigidity while making possible lower body lines without loss of interior space; although hardly any larger than before, these restyled and low-slung Caddies looked bigger, which was all that mattered. They also sported fashionable tailfins. General Motors' chief stylist Harley Earl had introduced fins on the 1948 Cadillacs, and the device would reach its zenith in 1959 before fading away. Topping the Series 62 line-up was a trio of Eldorado models that came with an exclusive high-performance version of Cadillac's 365cu in (6-litre) V8 engine producing 325bhp, plus almost every conceivable 'extra' as standard. Priced at $7,286, the Eldorado Seville Coupe was one of the most expensive cars of its day and sold in commensurately low numbers, just 2,100 being made out of a total Cadillac production of 146,841 units in the '57 model year. UK-restored in 1997 and in present ownership for the past six years, this superb example of 1950s American styling is presented in good condition in all respects. Air conditioning, electric windows, electrically operated seats and 'magic eye' headlamp dipper are just some of the installed options. Finished in red metallic with white vinyl top and leather/cloth interior, the car is offered with road fund licence/MoT to July 2004 and Swansea V5.
