Auf den internationalen Auktionen der letzten 30 Jahre wurden lediglich 3 vollständige Exemplare angeboten. - Der titelgebende zweite Satz Fuga Allegro basiert auf der 1783 von Mozart komponierten Fuge in c-Moll für 2 Klaviere (KV 426), die Anfang 1788 bei Hoffmeister in Wien erschien; Mozart selbst schrieb wenige Monate später das Arrangement für Streichquartett oder Streichorchester, und stellte das neu komponierte Adagio als einleitenden 1. Satz voran. EINBAND: Eine lose Lage und 3 lose Bll. (unbeschnitten). 32 : 24 cm. - KOLLATION: [3], 2, 2, 2 S. mit gestochenem Titel und gestochenen Noten (Plattennr. 159). - ZUSTAND: In den Rändern stockfleckig, recto in den ob. Ecken mit hs. Numerierung "166" von alter Hand, erste Lage (= Titel und 1. Violinstimme) in der oberen Ecke mit Papier- und tlw. Notenverlust durch Mäusefraß. - PROVENIENZ: Titel unten mit hs. Besitzvermerk "K. Zappe": evtl. Karl Josef Z., 1812-1871, Linzer Violinist und Domkapellmeister (also solcher zeitweise direkter Vorgesetzter von A. Bruckner), gründete 1842 mit seinem Streichquartett die Linzer öffentl. Kammermusikabende. - Zuletzt süddeutsche Privatsammlung. LITERATUR: KV 546. - Haberkamp S: 309. - RISM M 5551.
