FINE BINDING] BARRIE, JAMES MATTHEW, [SIR] Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens. London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1906. First edition. Bound by Cedric Chivers of Bath in full brown morocco, with five Vellucent panels on the front cover (one rectangular central panel and four medallions), all after Arthur Rackham designs, the covers gilt to a simple Arts and Crafts design, flat spine similarly gilt, a charming binding. 9 3/4 x 7 inches (25 x 18 cm); xii, 126 pp. with 50 plates after Rackham (the frontispiece, and 49 bound at the rear of the book, all retaining the original printed tissues). Some minor rubbing and wear, overall a very handsome copy.
