Ehon Waka Murasaki, 2 volumes, Edo: Maruya Buyemon, circa 1800, colour woodblock illustrated, dust-soiling throughout, contemporary decorative paper wrappers, original labels deficient, rubbed and worn, later sewing, 21.5 x 15cm (8.5 x 6ins), typed letter signed from Jack Hillier identifiying the work loosely inserted, together with Morikuni (Tachibana, 1670-1748) , Gaten zuko 'Instruction Through Pictures', 10 volumes, published by Zensaemon, 1727, woodblock printed, illustrated, some dust-soiling throughout, original paper wrappers, rubbed and scuffed, printed label to upper wrapper of each volume, resewn, contained within modern chemise, 23 x 16cm (9 x 6.5ins), plus four other Japanese printed books, some odd volumes, mostly 18th and 19th century (16)
