The first programmable universal remote control. Developed by Steve Wozniak at his company, CL 9, which he founded after he left Apple and was in operation between 1985-1988. Based on the same MOS 6502 microprocessor used in the Apple II. Wozniak intended for the remote to be a single replacement for the various remotes one might have in their home, with the ability to record and replay IR signals from other remotes, as well as connect to a computer. Untested and sold as-is. Hobbyists report other instances of the remote still working in the 2020s, though it may be necessary to solder in a new internal lithium battery. Condition: Near fine.
