The men pictured here will for all time be enshrined in baseball history as winners of the classic five consecutive World Championships. Their deeds were great, their accomplishments unsurpassed. Surely their record is one to which great managers, great coaches, and great teams will aspire in the years to come…perhaps for all time!" Stengel's name is engraved at the bottom, and pictured around the perimeter are some of the Yankees key contributors to those five straight championships, including Casey Stengel, Gene Woodling, Johnny Mize, Hank Bauer, Joe Collins, "Larry" Berra, and Phil Rizzuto, among others.
